The most dramatic situation is in Lwówek County. The situation in the county has been deteriorating drastically since the manager of the Pilchowice Dam announced that the reservoir had begun to overflow. Uncontrolled outflow began after 4:00 p.m. The situation is expected to be worst after 11:00 p.m.

Due to the flood situation and the closure of Road 297, public transport in Lwówek Śląski municipality has been suspended, and classes in schools have also been suspended, for now until Tuesday.

According to eluban.pl, at 6:00 p.m. on September 15, the flood situation in Lubań County was dynamic. The Kwisa overflowed in Leśna, Szyszkowa, Kościelniki and Uniegoszcz. Firefighters have been working continuously in many parts of the county.

The flood situation in Lubań County was affected by large water releases from the two reservoirs, Złotniki and Leśna.

Classes have been suspended in a dozen schools and preschools in Złotoryja County due to the continuing difficult weather conditions and the flood threat. The decision was made to ensure the safety of children, their parents and staff.

Twelve roads and streets were flooded in Złotoryja County (information as of 8:00 p.m. on September 14). Three streets in Złotoryja and one in Świerzawa were impassable. Provincial Road DW328 on the Złotoryja–Jelenia Góra route was impassable in Nowy Kościół/Krzeniów and Sędziszowa.

In Zgorzelec County, the county road between Radomierzyce and Osiek Łużycki was closed as a precaution to allow emergency services to deploy a flood-control sleeve.

The flood-control sleeve is intended to protect lower-lying areas. It is equipment purchased by the City of Zgorzelec after the 2010 flood to effectively prevent future threats.

Due to warning levels being exceeded at water gauges in the Lusatian Neisse basin, the flood emergency declared by the Zgorzelec County Head remains in force in Zgorzelec County from 2:00 a.m. on September 14, 2024.

At 8:00 a.m. on September 15, the municipalities had reported no dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena related to heavy rainfall.

The alarm level has been exceeded at water gauges on the Lusatian Neisse in Zgorzelec and Porajów, on the Miedzianka in Bogatynia and Turoszów. The warning level has been exceeded at the water gauge on the Witka in Ostróżno.

At the “Witka” industrial reservoir of the Turów Power Plant in Niedów, the reserve before the reservoir’s total filling level was reached amounted to 1,067,041 m³.
