A reader wrote to us concerned about the bridge next to the hydroelectric power plant in Stara Oleszna (Bolesławiec municipality).
– For now, residents living near the Bóbr are filling sandbags themselves. They get the sand from the gravel pit, the reader reports. – Tree branches are still hitting the bridge and also obstructing the flow of water. Apparently, all the firefighters are in Krępnica because things are bad there. It’s good that people are filling the bags themselves. Firefighters should be wherever they are needed more, she adds.
