Pursuant to Article 31a of the Act of 8 March 1990 on Municipal Self-Government (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 609), in connection with the assessment of the flood threat, the third flood threat level in force in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, as well as the rising water level in the Kwisa River and its tributaries, I am introducing a flood alert from 07:20 on 14 September 2024 until further notice in the area of the Municipality and Town of Nowogrodziec.
In connection with the above, I appeal to all residents to exercise particular caution and follow announcements from the Municipal Office.
Please:
- follow the information on www.nowogrodziec.pl and the municipality’s Facebook profile, where we will post current announcements,
- help pass on current information to people who do not use the Internet,
- be prepared for possible evacuation, if necessary,
- cooperate with emergency services,
- keep your phone and power bank charged
- during evacuation, remember about farm, domestic and yard animals.
In the event of a threat, emergency services will be alerted immediately. A 24-hour duty service is being maintained at the Municipal Office in Nowogrodziec.
