During a patrol, officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec noticed a doe whose behavior was a desperate cry for help. – It ran onto the road, stumbling over its own hooves, and repeatedly fell, unable to keep its balance – reports junior aspirant Bartłomiej Sobczyszyn from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
It turned out that the animal had a canister stuck on its head. The spokesperson said: – The officers demonstrated composure and prudence, and their actions led to the animal being rescued without ultimately suffering any harm.
The officers said:
We got the impression that the doe was extremely pleased with the intervention, although we do not wish to meet under similar circumstances.
And they concluded:
This situation clearly illustrates the consequences that littering public places and roadside areas can have. Reckless actions led to a situation posing a direct threat to another living being’s life…
