The attack took place after 6:29 p.m. on the bridge on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec. The camera footage shows a man running from Widok Street towards the bridge. Another man is running behind him. Meanwhile, a couple—a woman and a man—is walking across the bridge.
The pursuing man catches up with the fleeing man at the beginning of the bridge. They grapple and fall down. The couple walking across the bridge, witnessing everything, retreats and walks away. The footage does not show the woman or the man even taking out a phone and calling for help.
Meanwhile, a fight is taking place on the bridge. Information reaching us from people who were driving through there indicates that one man was hitting the other in the head with a hammer.
The camera footage shows cars stopping, and later other people approaching the fighting men. After several minutes, the police arrive at the scene, followed later by an ambulance.
We have not yet managed to contact the police to confirm the informants’ reports about the hammer and blows to the head.
