Cycling route signage
During the trip, it is extremely important to pay attention to the cycling route signage. Along the route, you may encounter signs painted on trees, rocks or plaques, with a white background and black border. In addition to the cyclist silhouette and route numbers, you may also see directional arrows and warning signs, including exclamation marks, reminding you to exercise particular caution in more difficult sections. Route junctions are additionally equipped with large, freestanding maps that make it easier to navigate and move around the terrain.
Attractions along the route
The more interesting places along the routes include the aforementioned Chatka Górzystów and the Orle Tourist Station, known for its attractions and beautiful views. Harrachov is a popular ski resort where you can see a disused ski-flying hill, one of the region’s attractions, as well as the picturesque Mumlava Waterfall in the Czech Krkonoše Mountains, which delights visitors with its beauty. Every cyclist should remember to bring important documents, such as an identity card or passport. Experienced cyclists can take on an additional challenge and visit the Vosecká Bouda mountain hut, located in the Krkonoše Mountains, which offers a place to rest and an opportunity to recharge their batteries before continuing along the route.
