The incident occurred on Wednesday morning. – The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lubań received a report stating that a man had climbed onto a tall chimney and could fall at any moment – reports Senior Staff Sergeant Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The report was treated as a priority; a patrol from the police unit in Leśna, as well as firefighters from Lubań and Leśna, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The man was on the roof of an unoccupied building. The spokesperson: – The officers began talking to him while also calming him down. At the same time, firefighters set up an air cushion beneath the building, which would have softened the man’s fall in the event of a possible jump.

The entire operation had a happy ending. The man received specialist medical care. Good cooperation, experience and the great commitment of the officers who reached the man in emotional crisis prevented a tragedy.
