An attempted break-in at a garage took place on August 12. The owner of the property, driving past, noticed that the door was open. Since he was the only user of the garage in question, he decided to check what had happened.
– The man discovered a potential burglar in the garage, as well as a passenger car containing items belonging to him – explains junior aspirant Bartłomiej Sobczyszyn of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – The aforementioned items did not have time to change owners, as the victim immediately called the emergency number, while the swift response of officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn prevented the perpetrator from escaping and led to his arrest.
The suspect is a 34-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka commune. He confessed and provided an explanation. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
