FC Bolesławiec and Zagłębie Lubin jointly registered to take part in the ceramic parade. The parade organiser, Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury, even prepared a special sign bearing the group’s name for them. Fans were supposed to march with their families and children; among them, football hooligans marched.

The aggressors arrived at the meeting point on Bankowa Street at around 4 p.m. Before the parade, they verbally attacked other parade participants. Their behaviour was reported to security and the Municipal Police. Security was asked to watch the increasingly aggressive hooligans during the parade, but when they set off the flares, no security personnel were present. The people marching in the parade reacted and ordered the hooligans to put out the flares. Entering the market square with lit flares was dangerous.

At first, the hooligans did not want to put out the flares, but when they finally did so, they left the parade. As a group, they tried to cut across the route of the marchers. They gathered near Piłsudskiego Square, threw bottles of water at the marching people and shouted vulgar slogans. They roughed up a woman who was the only person to react to their behaviour. An aggressive hooligan snatched her phone to destroy it and knocked her over. Others pushed her. The incident was recorded. It can also be seen on the city’s cameras. The injured woman was taken away by ambulance, and the matter was reported to the police.
