There will be many interesting lectures and hands-on workshops introducing us to the subject of space, as well as, of course, sky observations. It is quite possible that we will still see a few of the last Perseids!
We invite parents and children to the workshops from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Earth and Its Orbits (asteroid option) – participants will build a model of Earth (a polystyrene ball), continents (foam) and LEO orbits. They will then place suitable space objects on the orbits, such as the International Space Station and satellites.
- Shuttle Thermal Shield. The activity will involve selecting suitable materials and building a multilayer thermal shield for a lander, which we will then test under extreme conditions.
- Rockets – this is already our classic! We will build a rocket model from safe materials, such as soft foam, and then launch it from a pneumatic launcher!
- EVA GLOVES – carrying out manual tasks in a special chamber while wearing gloves similar to those astronauts use for their work! This station will be available to you throughout the event!
For those interested in space-related mysteries, we have prepared a series of lectures delivered by outstanding experts and scientists, which will certainly satisfy your curiosity:
- "The Most Interesting Astronomical Observatories, or How People Explore Space"
- ”Meteorites: Origin, Classification and Searching"
- "Treasures of the Summer Sky – Beautiful and Intriguing"
The lectures will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Continuing last year's tradition, one of the lectures will take place under the open sky. We are also planning a bike trip to the stone Solar System located along the route to Chatka Górzystów
