The incident took place on July 23, in the morning hours. As reported by GOPR Karkonosze:

(...) the duty rescuer at the central station received a report about an injured forestry worker who had suffered SCA (sudden cardiac arrest).

The rescuers add:

The injured man was in difficult-to-access terrain on the slopes of Mały Ciemniak mountain, which rises above part of Piechowice. After reaching the site, the rescuers found no vital signs and immediately began CPR. Thanks to the use of a cardiac monitor and a mechanical chest-compression device together with a portable ventilator, resuscitation was possible during transport to the foot of the slope. The injured man was then handed over to the emergency medical team.

And they sum up: – Unfortunately, despite the rescuers’ efforts and the fact that first aid was provided quickly by the people accompanying him, the injured man died in the hospital emergency department.
