Lawyer Artur Nowak wrote the book “Plebania” about Polish priests. It is a story about life unfolding in parish rectories, vicars’ houses, monasteries and bishops’ palaces, where gay parties with drugs, holidays funded for young lovers, drunken brawls and revelry paid for with widows’ pennies are everyday occurrences. Artur Nowak tells of the harm the priesthood causes to those whom we commonly believe to have been called by God Himself, as well as to their partners and children.

Krzysztof Gwizdała and Grażyna Hanaf share stories from the local scene and discoveries they made while working on the film “What Do Priests Do When They Take Off Their Cassocks?” in an interview with Artur Nowak.

Artur Nowak’s book “Plebania”, featuring a Bolesławiec-related storyline, will be available for purchase in bookshops from 30 July.
