The First District Environmental Tournament “Our Planet” was held on Thursday, December 16, in the auditorium of the Stanisław Wyspiański Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury in Bolesławiec. Fifteen two-person teams took part in the competition. One of the tasks was to present a multimedia presentation (the team from the Zespół Szkół Budowlanych performed best in this category – Wojciech Kołodziej and Kamil Zawada). The tournament participants also had to, among other things, issue an appeal to the Great Titan Śmieciuszko and the Great Eater.
The competition was judged by a jury consisting of: Beata Majewska, Sergiusz Rzatkiewa, Kazimierz Matyjewicz and Małgorzata Fecyk. In the lower-secondary-school category, the team from GS No. 1 won (Bartłomiej Kula and Remigiusz Widera). In the primary-school category, the team from SP No. 5 proved to be the best (comprising: Julia Grzelak and Paulina Owerko). The delegation from Prywatna Szkoła Podstawowa Oxpress took second place (Wojtek Orleski and Wiktor Wilk), while the team from SP in Trzebień came third (Kamila Marszałek and Natalia Regińska). In the upper-secondary-school category, first prize went to the team from I LO (comprising: Karolina Marcinek and Agata Łużna).
The tournament was organized by MDK.
