The Bolesławiec City Municipality informs residents that the implementation of the Act on the energy voucher and on amending certain acts to limit the prices of electricity, natural gas and district heating will be handled by Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej w Bolesławcu.
Applications for an energy voucher can be submitted from 1 August to 30 September 2024:
- traditionally in paper form – at Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej w Bolesławcu, 7 Cicha Street, room no. 1, on:
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 11:00,
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 14:30;
- electronically via the Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services ePUAP by sending the aforementioned application to the mailbox address: ePUAP:/mops.boleslawiec/skrytka; the application must bear a qualified electronic signature, a trusted signature or a personal signature;
- by post to: Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej w Bolesławcu, 7 Cicha Street, 59-700 Bolesławiec.
The energy voucher is a cash benefit paid once to a household.
Who is eligible?
Under the Act on the energy voucher and on amending certain acts to limit the prices of electricity, natural gas and district heating, the energy voucher is available to:
- a person in a one-person household in which the average monthly income for 2023 does not exceed PLN 2,500;
- a person in a multi-person household in which the average monthly income for 2023 does not exceed PLN 1,700 per person.
After deducting alimony paid to other persons, household income consists of:
- income subject to taxation under the rules set out in Articles 27, 30b, 30c, 30e and 30f of the Act of 26 July 1991 on personal income tax, reduced by income-earning costs, personal income tax due, social insurance contributions not included in income-earning costs and health insurance contributions;
- income not subject to personal income tax;
- income from an agricultural holding;
- income from activity taxed under the provisions on lump-sum income tax.
The energy voucher is granted in the following amounts:
- PLN 300 or 600* – for a one-person household;
- PLN 400 or 800* – for a multi-person household consisting of 2 to 3 people;
- PLN 500 or 1,000* – for a multi-person household consisting of 4 to 5 people;
- PLN 600 or 1,200* – for a multi-person household consisting of at least 6 people.
* The amount of the benefit depends on the heating source. A higher benefit may be received by households whose main heating source is powered by electricity and is entered in or reported to the central register of building emissions.
A person may belong to only one household. If more than one person submits an application for an energy voucher for a multi-person household, the voucher is paid to the person in that household who submitted the application first.
The energy voucher will be paid after funds are received from the state budget, by 31 December 2024.
