Four powerful floodlight poles, retaining walls, the so-called cage for visiting supporters with seats, a blue track with marked running lanes and an organized playing field, ready for grass to be sown. All of this can already be seen at the city stadium in Bolesławiec, which is being modernized on Spółdzielcza Street.

The 6-lane running track is one of the infrastructure elements that will enable athletics competitions to be held. As for the playing field, according to our information, grass sowing should already have begun. The grass must grow and take root, which means that the first matches on Spółdzielcza Street will be able to be played in 2025. It is not certain whether this will be possible as early as spring or only in autumn.

Let us remind you. The modernization of the city stadium in Bolesławiec began in spring 2023. As part of the modernization, a pitch with a natural-grass surface and a playing area measuring 64x100 m will be created. In addition to lighting, there will also be an irrigation system. The playing field will also include technical installations for servicing athletics competitions. Football goals will be installed behind the goal lines. The goals will be dismantled while athletics competitions are being held. The pitch will be equipped with stadium shelters for substitute players and a shelter for referees.

We remind you that you can follow the progress of work at the Bolesławiec stadium via our LIVE camera:

The complex will include, among other things: a warm-up shot-put area; a warm-up track with a long-jump and triple-jump pit; and mobile stadium shelters for substitute players of both teams. The second stage of the modernization includes the construction of stands. The covered stands will be located on the Spółdzielcza Street side. They will accommodate approximately 900 people.

The first stage of the modernization of the Bolesławiec stadium is to be completed in autumn 2024.
