The police officer who was injured in the shooting in Bolesławiec had, as we have learned, been involved in a serious accident while on duty two years ago. In 2022, the man worked in the police SPEED group, which pursued dangerous drivers.
Let us recall that two years ago, a patrol was chasing a driver. On national road 94, near the economic zone in Wykroty, the police car crashed into a truck. The 39-year-old spent more than a year recovering. After returning to duty, he transferred to the police station in Kruszyn, as it was supposed to be quieter there. He wanted to retire.
Yesterday, however, he was sent to an intervention that ended tragically.
What is known about the police officer’s condition?
The 39-year-old underwent surgery overnight and is currently in a medically induced coma. This is a state induced by doctors so that the body can better cope with the injury. The operation was difficult; three teams of specialists cared for the police officer.
It had been known since yesterday that the man was injured in the face and arm. Today, we unofficially learned that unfortunately, the police officer lost an eye.
