Kornel Filipowicz, director of BOK-MCC, will spend up to PLN 100,000 on a parade by Bolesławiec restaurateur Bogusław Nowak. It will be a one-off event lasting several hours, held during the 30th Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival.
In an interview published by istotne.pl on 21 May 2024, Piotr Roman stated that the fee for organising the parade would amount to PLN 50,000. Everyone thought this was a high but total budget for the event. Meanwhile, after the agreement was disclosed, it turned out that Bogusław Nowak would receive that money directly. Another PLN 50,000 will be paid to people indicated by Nowak. Thus, the restaurateur’s parade may cost up to PLN 100,000 in total (plus the work of BOK-MCC and employees of other municipal companies).
Below, we present the full agreement concluded by BOK-MCC with Bogusław Nowak one week after Piotr Roman’s election victory.
It should be added that last year the istotne.pl portal received PLN 20,000 net from the city for organising the Gliniada parade and an all-day programme in the town at Bankowa Street.
For two years, in 2022 and 2023, Bolesławiec restaurateur Bogusław Nowak organised his own parades during the Ceramics Festival without a grant, featuring several dozen people covered in clay slip. He did not hide the fact that the parades were intended to emphasise his dissatisfaction that he was not the organiser of the official parade. For many years, Nowak spoke unfavourably about the city’s mayor, Piotr Roman, and BOK-MCC director Kornel Filipowicz.
In 2016, we revealed that Bogusław Nowak had not registered the “Gliniada” and “Glinolud” trademarks and was misleading public opinion by claiming that he had patented Gliniada. The marks were registered and belong to Krzysztof Gwizdała, owner of the istotne.pl portal.
