Flower Records:

This is the third single promoting the debut album “Such a Fate”, which was released in September 2023. The album “Such a Fate” remained on the Radio Poznań Blues Album Chart for seven months. Since May 24, 2024, it has also been available on streaming platforms.

Plug’n’Blues was formed in 2018 in Chojnów, Lower Silesia. The band performs music deeply rooted in blues and rock. The group’s musical inspirations include Polish blues-rock legends such as Breakout and Dżem. The author of the lyrics, filled with personal experiences, is the band’s vocalist and guitarist – Tomasz Łabowicz. He is also responsible for most of the compositions featured on the debut album “Such a Fate”. The band has already played several dozen concerts, both in clubs and on outdoor stages. In 2022, it took first place in the Amateur Blues Bands Competition at the Ścinawski Blues nad Odrą festival. In 2023, the band took part in a competition at the Las, Woda & Blues festival in Radzyń. In March this year, it was the headline act at Legnica Blues Day.

The band leader about the single:

The song “Like a Seagull” was created quite by accident in 2019, during a stay by the Polish seaside, specifically in the charming town of Pustkowo. Sitting on the seashore, I watched seagulls struggling against the gusty wind. Listening to the sound of the sea waves, I hurriedly wrote the lyrics of the song on my phone. That day, I also wrote lyrics for two other songs. A simple melody was born in my head, and after the band members arranged it together during one of Plug’n’Blues’ rehearsals, it became a complete composition. The song appeared on the album “Such a Fate” and was enriched by a wonderful trumpet solo performed by Patrycjusz Gruszecki, for which we are very grateful to him. It is easy to guess that the seagull I sing about is me. It could also be a potential listener struggling with life. I wish the listeners an enjoyable experience!
