During a domestic intervention, officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters detained a 34-year-old man suspected of aggression toward family members. The officers said: – The resident of Gromadka municipality had previously been convicted, among other things, of making threats, abuse and property destruction.
They added:
On the day of his arrest, he threatened his brother with assault, taking his life and destroying property, while waving a sharp object. Moreover, in recent weeks he had failed to comply with a court order prohibiting him from approaching his mother and his other brother.
The evidence collected by officers from Bolesławiec and Kruszyn gave the prosecutor grounds to request the suspect’s detention. The court granted the investigators’ request, and the 34-year-old was remanded in custody for three months.
Police concluded: – The perpetrator was acting as a repeat offender, which is why he faces an enhanced sentence for the offences committed: up to 7.5 years in prison.
