Police officers from Jelenia Góra detained three residents of Lubuskie Voivodeship, aged between 21 and 39, suspected of robbery. – The incident occurred in mid-April this year in Jelenia Góra. The men came to view a BMW offered for sale, under the pretext of purchasing the car. However, as it turned out, they did not intend to pay for it – explains Assistant Inspector Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – They threatened the seller with pepper spray and then stole the vehicle. The owner estimated the resulting losses at PLN 120,000.

While conducting intensive activities in the case, officers identified those suspected of committing the crime, and they were detained several days after the incident. During their operations, the officers found the stolen BMW in a forest complex in Lwówek County.
All three now face up to 12 years in prison. One of the detainees has been remanded in custody for three months; the other two are under police supervision and have been banned from leaving the country. Moreover, they must each pay PLN 10,000 as bail.
