Death of a Man by the River in Nowogrodziec

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening (May 1) on Łużycka Street in Nowogrodziec. Upon arriving at the scene, the emergency services found an unconscious man in the river. A bicycle was found nearby, on the roadside. The man was pronounced dead. The involvement of third parties was initially ruled out.

Firefighters from OSP Nowogrodziec, a medical emergency team, the police and a prosecutor were present at the scene.

(...) Alert! Unconscious person in the river.

When the first units arrived, they found an unconscious person in the river. They began evacuating the person to the riverbank up a steep slope.

No vital signs were detected. The medical emergency team that arrived at the scene pronounced the injured person dead.
