For years, we have written about rappers from our region; it is high time we wrote about a female rapper—and one from our county at that! We are talking about Marta Brońska, a student at the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec and, privately, the cousin of GStone’a, a rapper from Bolesławiec. – We laughed that it runs in the family here – Marta says. And immediately adds: – I’m proud of him.
Marta raps under the pseudonym Fenixy. Not by accident. – Most of my songs are sad – she admits. – But there is always hope in them. There’s no point in giving up.
How did her hip-hop adventure begin? A year ago, she started writing lyrics. Her sister decided they were “super powerful” and that she should start rapping them.
As she points out, she does not draw inspiration from the work of Polish female rappers. Young Leosia does not really appeal to her, and she is definitely not a fan of either Oliwka Brazil or Fagata. However, she really likes tracks by the rapper known as Doli.
What are her plans for the future? The rapper is currently working on a song about Bolesławiec. She is also slowly thinking about an album. And she adds: – My little dream is to perform a concert.
