On Saturday, 27 April, an accident involving a military convoy travelling towards Zgorzelec occurred on the A4 motorway. At the 96.7 km mark, between the Legnickie Pole and Legnica Wschód interchanges, two military trucks collided. The collision was caused by failure to keep an adequate distance between the vehicles. As a result of the collision, three American soldiers were injured. The services report that traffic disruptions may last several hours. Investigative activities conducted by the Military Police are under way at the scene.
It should be added that earlier, three passenger cars collided between the Legnica Wschód and Legnica Południe interchanges. As a result of the collision, two people suffered minor injuries.
