– The campaign was extremely brutal; below-the-belt, undignified and disgraceful tactics were used, with artificial intelligence; photographs were altered and voices forged. In this respect, unfortunately, we stood out very negatively in Bolesławiec County. But it ends now! – announces Joanna Świder, the new head of Gmina Nowogrodziec.

I will certainly ask law enforcement authorities to establish the identity of the person responsible for these disgraceful tactics.
And she sums up: – It was not even me or the councillors who won. Nowogrodziec won!
We asked whether the new mayor was not afraid that councillors from Robert Relich’s committee would block every proposal of hers. Joanna Świder: – I think residents will closely observe how the councillors they elected vote. Councillors do not vote for the mayor, but for their local communities, streets and towns. This is not supposed to be a political battle with the mayor, but work for the benefit of residents. And that is what I expect – regardless of political divisions. I do not intend to create any divisions in the Council. We will work for the good of Gmina Nowogrodziec.
