The incident occurred on Saturday, March 30, after 4:00 p.m. Tires were burning in a hangar on the premises of the Legnica Special Economic Zone (a former airport near Szczytnica).

Three firefighting units were sent to the scene: one from JRG Bolesławiec and two from OSP Różyniec.
