In an interview with istotne.pl, we asked the Marshal whether the city of ceramics was at risk of stagnation.

– The research was conducted several years ago, and even then it came as a surprise – said Cezary Przybylski.

– Several years have passed, and I would like to reassure the residents of Bolesławiec that, from the perspective of the voivodeship, it is the fastest-developing city. The number of companies investing here and transport accessibility are driving the economy, and with that come growing needs and ambitions – the Marshal added.

In the interview, the Marshal stressed that Lower Silesia, as a dynamically developing region, will also receive an impressive amount of European Union funding in 2024.

– We received an initial proposal of €870 million, but after our negotiations we secured €1.780 billion. If we add €580 million for the Just Transition Fund for the Wałbrzych subregion, we have more than we did when we were classified among the poorer regions. Now we are already a transition region, and we are moving rapidly toward the wealthier regions of the European Union – the Marshal added.
