Chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council Józef Pokładek:
Dear residents of Bolesławiec,
I am honoured to provide some information about the work of the Bolesławiec City Council during the outgoing term. From the beginning of the eighth term (November 2018) through December 2023, the Bolesławiec City Council adopted 609 resolutions. The City Council met under my chairmanship for approximately 300 hours. During the current term, the City Council’s Standing Committees held 341 meetings, and councillors submitted 304 interpellations.
On my initiative, the Bolesławiec City Council has a new standard, funded by the councillors. In addition, the City Council provided PLN 4,700 in support to the Children’s Home in Bolesławiec.
On 28 December 2023, the City Council adopted Bolesławiec’s record 2024 budget, amounting to PLN 325,594,278.76, as well as record capital expenditure of PLN 116,315,696.21, which accounts for 33.9% of the budget. Most of this consists of sports and road investments. I hope that the road investments expected by residents will be completed soon.
As Chairman of the Bolesławiec City Council, I took part in many events important to the city’s community, held in Bolesławiec and its partner cities, including meetings of the Kwisa Municipalities Association and the Bóbr Municipalities Association, while serving as chairman of the Audit Committee and representing the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality.
