Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters on the incident:
Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec detained two men following a tragedy that occurred between Sunday and Monday. In an apartment where a group of people had been drinking alcohol, an attack took place in which a Bolesławiec resident died. At the crime scene, police officers carried out investigative activities under the supervision of a Bolesławiec prosecutor.
Preliminary findings provided grounds for identifying two aggressors, aged 25 and 39. After the detainees sobered up and evidence had been collected, police officers brought both perpetrators to the prosecutor’s office, where they were charged together with assaulting the female tenant of the apartment in which the crime took place. In addition, the 39-year-old will also be held responsible for violating a man’s bodily integrity. He faces up to 5 years in prison. The suspect was placed under police supervision and prohibited from approaching the specified persons and from leaving the country.
Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters adds:
Meanwhile, the prosecutor charged the 25-year-old with three offenses, including murder. The attacker inflicted a series of blows that led to the victim’s death. In addition, the suspect will be held responsible for attempting, through threats, to force a specific behavior.
By court decision, the 25-year-old was remanded in temporary custody for a period of three months.
Anyone who kills a person is subject to a prison sentence of no less than 10 years or life imprisonment.
