The Dolnośląskie Sports Centre #NaPolanie is a facility welcoming all enthusiasts of the mountains, sport and tourism. The Dolnośląskie Sports Centre (DSC) is dedicated to athletes. The facility meets the requirements of international federations, together with all the facilities necessary for professional training. A sports hall, gyms, training equipment, rehabilitation facilities and a hypoxia system regulating the oxygen content in the room – all this can be found #NaPolanie.

Junior European Championships in February

The Junior Biathlon European Championships will be held in Szklarska Poręba–Jakuszyce from 5 to 11 February. In the past, these competitions have repeatedly served as a springboard to illustrious careers for future Olympic and world champions.

Practical information for spectators and visitors:

  • The competition will take place only on the approximately 7.5-kilometre-long competition courses and at Polana Jakuszycka itself.
    The competition venue will be fenced off and accessible exclusively to competitors from 4:30 p.m. on 28 January until the end of the championships.
  • The remaining routes – 88 kilometres in total – will be open to everyone and maintained by the Bieg Piastów Association.
  • The tourist routes can be accessed at eight points: Bieg Piastów Association car parks, Polana Maliszewskiego, Huta, Chatka Robaczka, Czerwony Potok, Harrachov railway station, Novy Svet–Harrachov, and via the Partyzancka route to Dział Izerski. It will also be possible to enter the route to Orle via the Polana Jakuszycka railway platform.

Useful information for visitors to the DCS

At the DCS, you can use the changing rooms before training and the shower after exercise. Free toilets are also available.

After exercising, you can restore your energy in the swimming pool.

Remember that delicious coffee and equally good meals await you in the bistro and restaurant.

If you arrived by car, a convenient underground car park awaits you, but you can also reach Polana Jakuszycka by train and bus.

Remember that you can transport skis free of charge on Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A. trains, under the same conditions as other luggage. They should be placed on the luggage rack or, if this is not possible, kept beside you.

“When creating the DCS, we integrated the railway stop directly with the sports facility so that travel by Koleje Dolnośląskie would be as comfortable as possible for all visitors,” says Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

From 11 December 2022, trains at the Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce stop will stop directly in front of the entrance to the Dolnośląskie Sports Centre Polana Jakuszycka.
