The problem of flooded streets was reported at the beginning of the year on his profile by Michał Sudoł, a councillor of the Nowogrodziec City Council. According to the councillor, he has been raising this issue with residents and submitting interpellations for five years... yet the situation has not changed.
The councillor also posted several photos of the flooded Parkowa Street and commented on the matter as follows:
During one of the latest City Council Committee meetings in 2023, I heard that since wells were installed on Kolejowa Street, there has been no problem with excess water in the drainage basin of A. Asnyka, Górników, Parkowa and Mickiewicza streets.
If the mayor occasionally walked or drove around Nowogrodziec, perhaps he would notice that there is a problem after all—something I have reported repeatedly.
Five years of writing applications and interpellations, and talking about the problem—both me and the residents—and nothing...
It is better to build roads leading nowhere, into fields or forests, and leave the roads where people have lived for several decades as they are—perhaps the residents will manage on their own?
The photos show Parkowa Street, which looks like this even after light rainfall.
Water in basements and yards, problems reaching homes...
