Students of the University of the Third Age in Bolesławiec presented their swimming skills, acquired during classes, for the eleventh time.

City Hall: – As usual, the “Water Universiade” began with gymnastics demonstrations using equipment, followed by swimming competitions. Approximately 60 people took part in the competitions. The contestants had to swim 25 m with a noodle, using freestyle, and in a relay. The competitions were complemented by events in the small pool: throwing at a target, a race with equipment and water polo.

The Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre in Bolesławiec supervised the organization of the competition. The event concluded with a gymnastics demonstration performed by all participants and a medal ceremony.

UTW class participants emphasize the therapeutic effect of water on the body and mind. Swimming relaxes the muscles and has a calming effect. Pool classes improve well-being and are also a great opportunity to meet friends.

The event was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec.
