Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service reported on the incident:

(...) at 00:44, a report was received by the dispatch center of the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service concerning a fire in a farm building in Nowa Wieś. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters from the Fire Protection Units found the building burning throughout. The building was equipped with a photovoltaic installation—the owner had switched off the main power switch before the fire service units arrived.

The uniformed officers add: – The fire was extinguished, after which demolition work was carried out on the roof in order to reach hidden pockets of fire. No one was injured in the incident. The operation lasted approximately four hours.


The incident occurred during the night of January 23–24. Firefighters from Krzyżowa:

At 00:47, we were dispatched to a fire involving farm buildings in Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka.

They add: – When we arrived at the scene, the entire barn was already engulfed in flames; a passenger car was also inside.

The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was injured. Police are determining the cause and circumstances of the incident.

The following firefighters took part in the operation:

  • JRG Bolesławiec (3 units),
  • OSP KSRG Krzyżowa,
  • OSP KSRG Trzebień,
  • OSP KSRG Różyniec,
  • OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec (2 units),
  • JRG Chojnów.

An emergency power service and police were also present at the scene. The latter are determining the cause and circumstances of the incident.
