A reader wrote to us on Sunday afternoon:
The road running through the village of Brzeźnik has not been gritted, even though there is black ice on the road. Other village residents have already drawn attention to this, speaking in the “sołectwo Brzeźnik” group and asking for the road to be gritted. Unfortunately, no one responded.
And she added: – Today, unfortunately, there was a road incident. A young resident of Brzeźnik lost control and crashed into a fence. Fortunately, no one was hurt (although they could have been, as people were walking along the road), but there is material damage both to the damaged fence and the wrecked car.
And she concluded:
Maybe if the road had been gritted, the tragedy could have been avoided? Does someone really have to suffer serious harm before anyone pays attention to this? (...)
