A demonstration by right-wing groups is taking place in Warsaw under the slogan “Protest of Free Poles.” Demonstrators gathered in front of the Sejm building. Older people predominate among the protesters.

Leading PiS politicians addressed those gathered, including Jarosław Kaczyński, as did the wives of the MPs sentenced by the court: Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński. They demanded their release.

From the stage, it was said that several hundred thousand people were attending the demonstration, and also that democracy was under threat, the law and the Constitution were being violated, the media were being taken over, freedom of speech was under threat, and that Poland already had Belarus, among other claims.
