The reader wrote at the time:
I understand that they are repairing the road, but they only work on Fridays, leave the traffic lights in place for the rest of the time, even when nothing has been done, restricting traffic and creating traffic jams. Then the works are halted for the entire weekend and the whole week through Thursday inclusive. There is no one at the roadworks. They return a few weeks later on Friday, and from Saturday until the following Friday the works are halted.
The road has been dug up for several months now. In addition, a present for the holidays: a hole running along the entire length of the road in the middle, posing a risk of a wheel falling into it and, consequently, the vehicle leaving the road and ending up in the ditch or colliding with a neighboring vehicle. It is a scandal to drag out the roadwork like this, leave the road in this condition for the holidays, and then hand it over for use.
We asked the Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei we Wrocławiu to comment on the situation.

Information about the section of provincial road No. 297 in Golnice
Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei we Wrocławiu informs us that, at the location indicated by you, the approaches and the longitudinal step between the previous road surface and its new structure were repaired on December 29, 2023.
In addition, the road signs indicating a construction area were left in place, with a speed limit established, while alternating traffic will be suspended for the winter break until weather conditions allow the works to resume.
Under the contract, the contractor is obliged to maintain the road in a condition that does not pose a threat to traffic safety.
The contractual deadline for completing the works is July 9, 2024.
