For some time now, information has been appearing online about the restructuring being undergone by Neonet. A statement has been published on the company’s website, which reads, among other things:
The Management Board of NEONET S.A. in restructuring informs that, pursuant to the decision of the District Court in Wrocław dated 1 December 2023, the company is undergoing a restructuring process aimed at improving the company’s situation as quickly as possible and ensuring its stability in the future.
The company adds:
Additionally, as part of the measures being taken, selected physical stores in the NEONET chain are being closed. This process has already begun, and some stores have been or will be closed in the coming months. All employees of the physical stores being closed are also covered by a support programme including, among other things, severance-pay guarantees and an outplacement programme.
And adds: – Although we will not avoid staff reductions and the closure of selected stores during the restructuring process, NEONET will still remain one of the largest companies in the retail sector in the household appliances/consumer electronics/mobile communications/IT market in Poland.
We asked the company what would happen to the chain’s store in Bolesławiec. The director of the marketing division, Anna Walicka, told istotne.pl:
NEONET is currently undergoing a restructuring process, in connection with which necessary and justified solutions are being implemented, with full concern for maintaining guarantees for the handling of sales and after-sales processes carried out for customers of physical stores and the online store neonet.pl. One such solution is the closure of selected, unprofitable stores.
She immediately emphasizes:
The NEONET store in Bolesławiec is one of our best stores and is not planned for closure.
