A resident of Bolesławiec Łukasz Broński – known as GStone – published his debut rap album, titled “Security Album,” online at the end of last year. The title is no coincidence, as Łukasz works as a security guard on a daily basis.
The material was created over a year and a half. How did it begin? – During the summer of 2022, I heard a beat on YouTube that caught my ear and decided to write lyrics for it – the rapper recalls.
As the Bolesławiec resident admits, he is inspired more by old-school hip-hop. He particularly values artists such as Pezet, Otsochodzi, Guzior and – perhaps above all – Kukon. (According to Łukasz, the latter has excellent flow and can adapt to any style.) – Their rap always contained more honesty, more meaning. This is exactly the kind of music that has been playing in my soul for a very long time – says GStone. – There is not much hip-hop like that these days. I would like to change that.
What is “Security Album” about? The hip-hop artist says: – I write about what I have experienced, what I have seen and what is on my mind. It is a kind of therapy for me.
Interestingly, the album is currently available only digitally, but it will also be released on CD, albeit in a limited edition.
Plans? – The goal for this year is to perform at the Ceramics Festival or the Bolesławiec Days and release at least two albums – GStone says. Our hip-hop artist would also like to organize a concert at Wiadukt Plaza, as skate culture is very close to him.
