Tell us in the comments which event covered in our pages you consider the most significant. The contest is open only to logged-in users. Calendars must be collected in person in Bolesławiec. We do not send calendars by mail. We will inform the 12 people we select by email how to collect their calendar. The contest runs until midnight on January 1, 2024.
This special 2024 wall calendar showcases investments that the city plans to complete in 2024 or has already completed. It also recalls the most important city events.
In January, it features a photograph of the statuette awarded to our city by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. February features a photograph of the revitalized city parks, while March shows the pottery workshop at the Center for Historical Pottery Techniques. April will be the month when the new headquarters of the Museum of Ceramics on Zgorzelecka Street opens. May recalls the flower meadows along the Bóbr River—a project co-financed under the Interreg program. In June, we expect the swimming pools on Spacerowa Street to open. In July, the calendar features the SOWA Discovery, Imagination and Activity Zone; August traditionally brings the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival, which will be held in Bolesławiec for the 30th time in 2024. The calendar recalls this with a peacock tail made of stoneware plates painted by hand. This is also intended to remind us that the city is seeking to have Bolesławiec pottery added to UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. In September, the city calendar recalls the modernization and expansion of the stadium in Bolesławiec. October highlights the new footbridge over the city pond, November the modernization of street lighting, and December once again the Europe Prize for activities in the field of European cooperation and promoting the idea of European unity.
