The victim determined “on his own” who had committed the act and decided to deliver his own justice. As officers from the Police Station in Gryfów Śląski established, during the night of December 18 this year, three men forced a 22-year-old to get into a vehicle. They then took him to a forest, tied his hands and bound him to a tree. Beating him, they attempted to obtain information about where the stolen items were being kept.

Gryfów police officers received information two days after the incident and arrested three men that same day: aged 36, 37 and 38. All of them are residents of Lwówek County. Each was charged with unlawful deprivation of liberty, forcing another person to behave in a certain way and causing minor bodily injury.

The crimes carry a penalty of up to five years’ imprisonment.
