On 21 December, at 7:30 p.m., on TVP1, during the time slot previously occupied by “Wiadomości”, a new news programme titled “19.30” was broadcast. The programme was described as “Telewizja Polska’s most important news programme”. Marek Czyż appeared as the presenter.

According to its creators, the programme is intended to introduce a new standard of news coverage to public television. No hate, incitement, division, manipulation, one-sided messaging or so-called “strips of fear”.

The programme began with a graphic explaining what a news programme is. National and international news was presented afterwards.
