During the fifteenth edition of the nationwide Rock Blok showcase at BOK, music workshops were organized. The vocal class was led by Alicja Janosz-Niebielecka, vocalist with HooDoo Band and winner of the first Polish edition of the Idol programme.

Although the singer says she does not have much experience leading workshops, for three years she has run the vocal class at the Puławy summer blues workshops. “For three years I taught the vocal class in Puławy. First I assisted Grażyna Łobaszewska, then Krystyna Prońko, and last year the class was entrusted to me. I was very happy about that, because the atmosphere there is wonderful and the lecturers are excellent,” the vocalist says.

Alicja Janosz is very pleased with the students and the classes. The level of the workshop participants varied. Among them were people who will probably continue their vocal careers, as well as those who simply enjoy singing.

“Anyone can sing; not everyone has to be a star,” the singer says. “I had a great group of eighteen-year-olds who were sensitive to beautiful sounds. They liked singing and were very hard-working. They corrected themselves. They listened to my comments and were able to put them into practice. The most important thing is that singing brings them joy. That is how I approach these classes.

In addition to the vocal class, original guitar workshops by Bartłomiej Miarka and keyboard workshops by Krzysztof Borowicz were organized.
