Szymon Milczanowski’s adventure with hip-hop began in 2018. (But he stresses that he has been passionate about music since he was very young.) Previously, he made tracks as foreversadboy666 and reached more of an emo-trap audience. Now he is distancing himself from his old alias. – It was terrible – he admits in an interview with istotne.pl. And he announces a new beginning – this time as nowy_robin.
The first track released under the new name is – nomen omen – “NoWy RoBiN.” As the Bolesławiec native himself admits, it is a track in Chivas’s style, an obvious reference to the song “noWy baTmAN” by the famous Łódź rapper and producer. (It is worth adding that Szymon was most often compared with Chivas.)
But when asked about his main source of inspiration, our hip-hop artist answers: Juice Wrld, the American artist who has sadly passed away. Our fellow citizen now intends to move in this musical direction – experimental, but highly melodic hip-hop.
What are his lyrics about? – First and foremost, about what annoys me, for example, people’s strange behavior. Nothing here is fiction; at most, it is literary fiction – the Bolesławiec native says. – But the main subject is love. And he announces that his next track will warn against intoxicating substances.
His plans? Concerts and an album. The Bolesławiec rapper also intends to improve his music-production skills. His goal? In a year, he wants to be making his own instrumentals. In the long term – to put Bolesławiec on Poland’s hip-hop map.
