During the November meeting of the City Council, the mayor Piotr Roman informed the councillors that the French people of Nogent-sur-Marne, Bolesławiec’s partner city, had declared that they would help the Bolesławiec local government develop a concept for a House of Associations. (Such an institution operates in that French town.)
The Mayor of the Municipality of Bolesławiec emphasized that the city authorities want to transform the Orzeł Cultural Integration Center into such a facility and also apply to the EU for funding for this purpose.
The head of the city authorities also noted that associations would be able to use the facility free of charge. And that this is intended “above all to stimulate civil society”.
