As explained by the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service:
As part of the operation, in each county, excluding cities with county rights, the volunteer fire service units in the municipality with up to 20,000 residents and the highest turnout—recorded in the elections to the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland—will receive up to PLN 1 million in grants for the thermal modernisation, renovation or equipment of fire stations.
In our county, Gmina Bolesławiec won, with a turnout of 72.61 percent. The number of valid ballot papers (excluding certificates) was 8,110, while the number of eligible voters (excluding certificates) was 11,170.
Officials: – To select the Volunteer Fire Service units that will receive funding, a team comprising representatives of the municipality, Volunteer Fire Service units, the State Fire Service and the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management will be appointed in each municipality. The team will complete its work no later than 31 December this year.
The grants for Volunteer Fire Service units will be implemented in 2024.
