The event, held on November 15, aimed to promote the idea of voluntary bone marrow donation and expand students’ and residents’ knowledge about blood diseases and the importance of blood donation in treating these diseases.
One of the most important elements of Szpikolada was the registration of potential bone marrow donors. The organizers ensured that everyone interested had the opportunity to join the Bone Marrow Donor Registry. This initiative, which has been an integral part of the event for many years, aims to increase the chances of finding a suitable donor for sick people.
Bone marrow donors were not the only focus during Szpikolada in Uniform. The event’s varied program also included demonstrations by uniformed services. Police officers, firefighters and soldiers presented their skills and specific aspects of their work. This part of the event aimed not only to showcase the work of uniformed personnel, but also to promote safety and social responsibility.
