Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bolesławiec Police unit received a report of an offence committed against the post office. The police command: – The case concerned misleading an employee and claiming the right to collect a money transfer.

The 36-year-old went to the post office with someone else’s notice and defrauded an employee, obtaining nearly PLN 1,300 in cash.

That was not the end of it. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters:

After some time, the offender appeared at the post office again, and an alert employee quickly called a police patrol. The suspicions regarding the fraudster were confirmed, and the man was arrested.

The Bolesławiec resident was charged. The officers: – He claimed that he had received the notice concerning the money transfer at home, so he went and collected it, even though the money was not owed to him.

The Bolesławiec resident now faces up to eight years in prison. Police secured the cash found on the 36-year-old as security for a future penalty.
