From 9 to 12 November, a group of scouts from our district travelled to Vilnius, Lithuania, to attend the Independence Day celebrations.

The scouts from Bolesławiec began the celebrations with a solemn assembly, held at dawn in the place where Marshal Józef Piłsudski was born. Our district: – After the national anthem and patriotic songs had been sung, the solemn celebrations of the 105th anniversary of Poland’s regaining independence began.

They add: – At the end of the assembly, the 29th Independence Relay began, with all our scouts taking part. The relay covered 60 kilometres and ran to Rasos Cemetery, where a second assembly was held. After the assembly, our scouts visited the cemetery, bringing the 11 November celebrations to an end.
