The official celebrations of the 105th Anniversary of Poland Regaining Independence are organised by Powiat Bolesławiecki together with the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment.

Programme

  • 11:00 – Bolesławiec Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary: solemn Mass for the Homeland, attended by the Honour Guard Company of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, soldiers of the 26th rotation of the Polish Military Contingent EUFOR and the Municipal Brass Band.
  • 12:00 – Monument to the Centenary of Regaining Independence: singing of the National Anthem, Independence Roll Call, Honour Salute, farewell to the soldiers of the 26th rotation of the Polish Military Contingent EUFOR ALTHEA, swearing-in of students from the military-profile class of the II General Secondary School, laying flowers at the monument.
  • 13:15 – procession through the city streets, Kościelna Street – Market Square – Kościelna Street – Łukasiewicza Street – Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko Square: procession of the mounted patrol of the 6th Kaniow Uhlan Regiment Historical Reconstruction Group, led by Marshal Józef Piłsudski and accompanied by ladies of the court.
  • 14:00–16:00 MILITARY PICNIC
    • Rev. Jerzy Popiełuszko Square – performance by the 6th Kaniow Uhlan Regiment Historical Reconstruction Group, horse rides.
    • Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square – military pea soup, display of equipment belonging to the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment and the United States, presentation of weapons belonging to the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Commando Special Company.
  • 18:00 – INDEPENDENCE CONCERT at the Old Theatre, featuring the 1st-Degree State Music School in Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec Song and Dance Ensemble, the vocal studio of the Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec and scouts of the ZHP Szare Szeregi Troop.
