At 12:21 p.m., we received an emergency call about a gas cylinder explosion in a single-family house in Stara Kamienica. The medical dispatcher sent three Medical Rescue Teams (...) to the scene due to the potentially large number of injured people—the building had partially collapsed.

The medics added: — One person suffered extensive burns to the body as a result of the explosion.

The police are investigating the matter. As reported by lwowecki.info:

According to the officers’ preliminary findings, a 71-year-old man, while smoking a cigarette, approached a gas cylinder that was apparently leaking. This led to an explosion, as a result of which one of the building’s walls and part of the floor collapsed.
