The incident took place during the night of October 20–21 in Osła.
As we have established, the fire broke out on the premises of the same facility where, in August last year, the largest fire in our region in recent years occurred—in terms of the forces involved and the duration of the operation. (The grueling efforts of the uniformed services lasted as long as 10 days).
Firefighters from Krzyżowa on today's incident:
(...) at 5:17 a.m., we were dispatched to smoke at the premises of a waste-processing company in the LSSE OSŁA zone. After arriving at the scene and gaining access to the facility, a fire involving waste covering an area of approximately 30 m2 was confirmed.
The danger was eliminated, before 7:00 a.m.; fortunately, no one was hurt.
Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Krzyżowa, Różyniec and Warta Bolesławiecka, as well as the police, took part in the operation. The latter is determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
